This site presents the creative works of Russian composer Konstantin Zhigulin and the "Psalom" his Acapella Spiritual Music Ensemble.
The main goal of this work is to bring new Acapella music to the Church, so that, as the bride of Christ, she can sing to the glory of our Creator God - the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.

Spiritual(church music) it is big part of my life. I have composed quite a few creative works in this area of music. A major part of these pieces are based on themes from the Bible. These songs are written in modern Russian which makes them different from the traditional Russian Orthodox songs. This allows listeners to more easily understand the word inspired by God and to feel the harmony of the music. These songs can be performed not only from stage but, what is especially important and dear to me, also at worship services. Now these hymns are being sung in worship in different Christian communities in many cities in Russia and the former Soviet Union, and also now in other countries.

These musical pieces are not a demonstration of religious beliefs of any particular denomination but are an embodiment of feelings and ideas of the author evoked by stories and images found in the Bible. The basic motivation to create albums on CD was not to display a professional performance. It is a desire to bring God's love and mercy to the mind and heart of it's listeners.
